【Plot Overview】Max, a troubled graffiti artist doing court-ordered community service at a retirement home, is forbidden from entering the mysterious fourth floor. As he befriends residents and investigates bizarre incidents—spontaneous bleeding, strange behavior, hidden cult rituals—he uncovers a conspiracy: the elderly harvest youth via eye fluid to extend their lives. The house is run by his foster parents and even his deceased brother may be behind it. Faced with body horror and a twisted family secret, Max fights back, ultimately escaping with other victims. This thriller builds from quiet dread into a bloody, shocking climax with emotional stakes rooted in loss and trauma. 

【Audience & Critical Reception】Critics were largely disappointed: The Home was seen as a by-the-numbers horror that lacked narrative coherence and deeper themes, with Pete Davidson’s performance considered uneven and the satire on generational conflict shallow. Many reviews flagged its reliance on gore over genuine suspense. However, genre fans appreciated the practical effects, dark body-horror sequences, and the unexpected “gonzo” finale as bold if flawed. Overall, it made modest box-office (~$1.7M US) and has earned a cult-horror niche.
